Araki, a Japanese national, joined JK in November 2003. His China experience started from 1996 as marketing manager of Kerry Properties (Dalian & Beijing), and in 2000 moved to Shanghai to work for Shui On Properties which is known as the developer of Xintiandi.
Araki’s international experience started even before coming to China; he spent many years in US and Germany. Although born and raised in Japan, he hardly fits in stereo type of Japanese. He never smokes, drinks only socially, not a karaokegoer, and most crucially, not a golfer. Is he boring? Well, quite opposite. He enjoys extensive personal and business network and quite easy to get along. In addition, he is a very active person who enjoys paragliding, scuba-diving, mountain-biking, and more adventurous outdoor sports.
Besides Japanese, he speaks English (without Japanese accent) and Chinese; always in a soft and sincere tone.
